The Cultural Service of the French Embassy in Houston develops and supports cultural and educational projects in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. It promotes and sustains exchanges between the most promising French and American artists, writers, thinkers and educators. The French Cultures Festival is one of this promoting event, coordinated by Villa Albertine, the Cultural Service of the French Embassy in Houston. It is a month-long celebration of the diversity of French cultures.

Celebrating the diversity of Francophonie, it brings together people who not only speak French, but also feel, in one way or another, connected to French cultures and the Francophone community. From March 1 to March 31, the French Cultures Festival gathers many institutional partners and features over 40 events such as lectures and talks, film screenings, performances, concerts, encounters with artists and writers, and educational activities. The French Cultures Festival goal is to generate interest in creative expressions from French Cultures and beyond while strengthening partnerships with American institutions in Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. It provides an opportunity for the public to experience the languages and cultures of the francophone world through an eclectic program of events across the three states.
