Some may say why does Lebanon Times Magazine always write about Mayor Turner, is he related to them?

The truth is that we write about the events and Mayor Turner is always involved in Houston’s events. He is always present working hard with simplicity and modesty. Now we will stop talking about the Mayor and we will get back to him at the end of the article. Let us find out who Simone Biles is.

She was born and raised in a small town in Texas. She began gymnastics at the age of six, she won three World Championships, and holds the record of gold medals which has reached 10 gold medals.

She was always running and jumping since her childhood. She is the best on the beam, vault, and floor. The sport of gymnastics is in her blood.

Simone returned from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil with the Olympic gold medals and Mayor Turner was waiting for her at the airport. From there, the story begins!

As soon as the plane landed, Mayor Turner was waiting for her at the exit of the plane; he hugged her and took her backpack from her and carried it himself.

So the backpack is the news for us Middle Easterners!

Is there an administrator in the Middle East that carries your bag at the airport even if you are coming back winning Olympic gold medals?

Is there a Deputy or Minister or Mayor or Municipal Guard or Mayor’s Driver that carries a citizen’s bag?

Is there an administrator in the Middle East that has told a citizen let me carry your bag since you carried a big responsibility and made your country proud?

Some administrators in the Middle East only know how to carry the government’s money and put it in their pockets. They do not care about who raised high the country’s flag and brought glory for the nation.

We, the Middle Easterners,  have gotten used to carrying the administrators on our shoulders. That is why I was amazed that an administrator named Mayor Sylvester Turner told a girl let me carry your bag, you already carried a big responsibility and brought us glory.

Sir the Mayor, the initiative you took shows culture and love of someone to his homeland and indicates as well that the greatest is the server and the one who serves his or her country must be served.

Sincerely, we tell you Sir Mayor, you are the Father of Houston with a gold medal.
